The purpose of the PhD program is to prepare a highly qualified, competitive, integrated European and world scientific and educational space specialist for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, capable of independent research, scientific and innovative, organizational, managerial, translation, and teaching activities in the field of humanities in the specialty 035 Philology in higher education institutions.
The key to the success of providing quality education for doctors of philosophy is the teaching staff, modern teaching technologies, the latest priorities, and the material and technical base of the Faculty of Linguistics and the Department of Theory, Practice, and Translation of German in particular.
Graduates of the educational program "Germanic Languages and Literatures (Translation Inclusive), First German" of the second (master's) level of higher education work in various fields where they demonstrate a high level of knowledge of the German language and culture.
Educational institutions: graduates work as teachers of German at universities, colleges, or language schools. They do research in linguistics, literary studies, or translation studies.
International organizations and companies: multinational companies, international organizations, and firms working with German-speaking partners or clients are interested in translation specialists with knowledge of German language and culture for communication, translation, and intercultural interaction.
Media and Journalism: graduates are engaged in journalism, editorial work, or translation for German-language publications, media agencies, or television companies.
Tourism and hospitality: in the tourism and hospitality industry, there is a demand for specialists who speak German to communicate with German-speaking tourists or partners.
