In February-March 2024, a group of students from the Department of Theory, Practice, and Translation of the German participated in a two-week Spring School on Language and Translation Technologies at the University of Applied Sciences Anhalt.

During the school, the participants learned to work with translation software, discovered terminology management and machine translation, and studied the basics of programming in Python and prompting.

Moreover, students from our department even prepared and conducted a seminar for all participants on Large Language Models and the mechanisms of modern neural networks that underlie speech processing and generation.
