Scientific schools

1. Under the supervision of Associate Professors of the Department of Theory, Practice and Translation of German, Candidates of Philological Sciences Viktoriia Kotvitska, Olena Lazebna and Oksana Turysheva, the initiative topic “Polyparadigm space of linguistics of the XXI century (German-speaking context)” is being implemented, the deadline for completion of the work: 06.2027, state registration number UkrINTEI: 0122U001107 from 06.02.2022.

The research work is carried out by the following researchers of the Department of Theory, Practice and Translation of German:

1. Associate Professor of the Department, Candidate of Philological Sciences Lidia Oliinyk.

2. Senior Lecturer of the Department  Nataliia Bashuk.

3. Senior Lecturer of the Department Zinaida Chepurna.

Within the framework of the scientific topic, the dominant paradigms, visions, vectors and trends of modern German philology, sociolinguistic, cognitive-pragmatic, multimodal characteristics of communication, the architectonics of the modern German-language media space, structural and semantic organization of terminologies of various fields, language units in communicative-cognitive, cultural and translation aspects on the material of various types of discourses, etc. are studied.

2. The initiative topic “Visions and missions of modern intercultural communication in the translation perspective” is being implemented under the supervision of Associate Professor of the Department of  Theory, Practice and Translation of German, Candidate of Philological Sciences Baklan Iryna Mykolaivna, term of work: 01.2024-12.2026, state registration no: 0124U002120 from 02/28/2024.

The research work is carried out by the following researchers of the Department of Theory, Practice and Translation of German:

1. Associate Professor of the Department, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Olha Dzykovych.

2. Associate Professor of the Department, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Lesia Ivashkevych.

4. Associate Professor of the Department, Candidate of Philological Sciences Iryna Haman.

5. Associate Professor of the Department of CFA, Candidate of Philological Sciences Olena Chaikovska.

6. Senior Lecturer at the Department of CCIPS Iryna Trutsunenko.

The priority research area of the initiative topic focuses on topical issues of modern translation studies and the latest translation technologies. The research work is aimed at improving the educational process by updating the content of translation studies' educational components by the development of linguistic and translation technologies, and issues in the world translation communities, as well as updating its didactic and methodological implementation. The relevance of the chosen topic is related to the need to study unresolved or controversial issues and problems of modern translation studies, in particular, the standardization of translation of terms of certain fields of knowledge in the German-Ukrainian language pair, reproduction of non-equivalent vocabulary, translation algorithm, etc.
